6:00 to 10:00 a.m. These four hours mark when people are most likely to open consumer-based marketing emails. If you want to hit them with a great consumer focused piece, aim to drop it in people’s inbox when the sleep is still in their eyes.
10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. People are working. Don’t send an email during these hours or it will end up at the bottom of inboxes, or in the trash.
12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Take advantage of the usual lunch break hours to hit people with relevant news and lifestyle emails.
2:00 to 3:00 p.m. That afternoon grind will leave your email completely ignored.
3:00 to 5:00 p.m. If your email is financially pertinent, send it now.
5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Want to communicate with other businesses? B2B promotions are best sent during this window.
7:00 to 10:00 p.m. As people settle into their evenings, they start to look for exciting info. Send out your promos now!
10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Don’t bother. This is a dead time, and very few emails get opened during these hours.
