Company Lunch

Give your employees a midweek treat with a company sponsored lunch. Food is a universal way to show people that you care. Go out to eat, order in, or host a potluck! An office-wide lunch helps to break up the day. Plus, it helps to encourage your employees to mingle, boosting company morale.

Hold a Contest

Add a little friendly competition to the holiday. Hold a contest to help get your employees into the holiday spirit. From a dessert making contest to a food drive, there are lots of ways in which you can encourage your employees to partake in the festivities.

Gratitude Wall

Thanksgiving is about showing your appreciation for all the blessings in your life. Bring the holiday tidings to your workplace, and encourage employees to share what they’re thankful for with a gratitude wall. Whether you use a chalk walk, whiteboard, or bulletin board, it’s a great way for employees to give recognition and appreciation where it’s due in the office.

Token of Appreciation

Show your employees that you appreciate everything they do for your company with a little gift. From a gift card to a holiday dessert to an added holiday bonus, there are many ways in which you can show your employees that you value their hard work and dedication.

how to hashtag

How to Hashtag: What You Should Know About the Power of the Pound Sign

If you’re not sure how to hashtag, this dos and don’ts guide can help!

Remember when we called # the pound sign? Well, it won’t be long before most people don’t. In fact, the Oxford American Dictionary added “hashtag” to its official vocabulary over five years ago! Clearly, hashtags have a place in modern society. Are you using them well? Here are a few dos and don’ts to help you learn how to hashtag in 2016.

  • DO use it as a branding tool. Branded hashtags don’t have to include your company name. Take REI’s hugely successful #optoutisde or Nike’s #betterforit as examples. By capturing business values in a concise, memorable hashtag, you give people an easy way to be a part of your business’s overarching social media conversation.
  • DON’T hashtag for hashtagging’s sake. So you know that #nationalscotchday is trending today (cheers, Scotch lovers!), but you’re posting something that isn’t even remotely related to this kind of whiskey. Don’t hashtag #nationalscotchday. Sure, someone might see your post because of your hashtag, but they’re not going to like your completely unrelated content while trying to celebrate their favorite liquor.
  • DO keep it simple. Long hashtags are not only challenging to read; they’re very unlikely to trend. You could probably have guessed this if you’ve been annoyed while trying to type a 20-character hashtag without autocorrect there to help you!
  • DON’T be too heavy handed. Hashtags are a great way to extend the reach of your post and connect with like-minded social media users. They’re also an excellent way to spam people. Keep your hashtags relatively minimal to avoid looking like a spam-happy account.

axiom custom websites for insurance agencies

PRESS RELEASE: Stratosphere Announces Axiom, an Affordable Custom Website Solution for Insurance Agencies

In an effort to better serve insurance agencies, Stratosphere is now offering Axiom, an affordable, scalable custom website solution.

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA – Stratosphere Marketing Solutions recently announced the launch of a custom website solution called Axiom.

Axiom is a completely custom website built at the price of a template-style site. It stays true to Stratosphere’s overall custom-tailored approach. Axiom is designed to be both cost-effective and scalable for smaller, newer insurance agencies.

“We noticed many agencies settling with basic template websites that were owned by the vendor and not the agency,” Stratosphere CEO Casey Preston said. “They had non-original content and weren’t visually appealing overall. In most cases, these websites didn’t match the solid reputation these agencies have built offline. So we created Axiom, the perfect solution to create a custom website at an affordable price with the ability to scale.”

Stratosphere’s custom development process has built us a trusted reputation in the insurance industry as the preferred custom web design vendor for over 500 independent agencies. It’s also earned us national partnerships with major carriers. Axiom offers the same custom features as that tried-and-true development process, including UI/UX design, custom development, mobile responsiveness, optimization for search, quote forms, and social media/blog integration.

CCO Michael Davirro said, “When agencies choose Axiom, they’re trusting a very established and capable team to develop a beautiful and efficient website.”

Axiom is immediately available to agencies. For more information, contact Stratosphere Marketing Solutions at (818) 338-6700 or visit our online portfolio.

Tips for a Better 4th of July, 2016!

Tips for a Better 4th of July, 2016!

What do you have planned for 4th of July, 2016? Whatever your holiday entails, keep these tips in mind for an added dose of freedom and fun!

Finally! We’re almost to the holiday weekend! Whether you’ve been amping up for 4th of July out of excitement for the day off work, a chance to stretch your patriotic muscles, or love of sparklers, there’s a lot to look forward to this weekend. We want to help you make the most of it, so we’ve rounded up a few tips to up your fun factor.

  • Change it up. Traditions are great, but you shouldn’t let them dictate your day. After all, this holiday is all about celebrating our independence, so free yourself from doing the same old thing! Check out a local celebration you haven’t before, swap your grill routine up to incorporate some veggies, or find some star-spangled gear at the thrift store in advance. Adding a little something new into your 4th festivities will make this year extra memorable.
  • Drink up. Whether your plans are low-key or high-intensity, water’s important. If you’re spending time in the sun, it’s doubly important. If you’re going to be having a cocktail or three, it’s triply important. The busyness of the day might make it hard to fill a cup regularly, so carry a refillable bottle with you. Bonus: throw some strawberries and blueberries in it for a patriotic (and delicious) twist!
  • Buddy up. The 4th of July is a day of celebrating freedom, so make sure no one in your crew has their freedom limited by injuries or legal troubles. If a friend has one too many, speak up and offer to hail a cab or rideshare. If someone is trying to relight a dud firecracker, offer a smarter, safer alternative. Take a second to be a pal and you can save your friends from an evening in the ER or the drunk tank, freeing you all up for more fun!

Happy 4th of July from Stratosphere Marketing Solutions! For all of your digital marketing and web design needs, contact our team in Westlake Village, California.

SEO for Small Business Owners: Tips & Tricks

SEO Series Part V: How to Excel at SEO for Small Business Owners

If you own your own business, don’t give up! Here are some tips and tricks to help with SEO for small business owners.

In 2016, your business’s online presence matters. You know this is true, but as a small business owner, your website is just one of about a million plates you’re trying to keep spinning. Don’t stress! We’ve gathered this roundup of helpful, relatively easy tips and tricks to support search engine optimization, or SEO, for small business owners.

  • Dot Your I’s and Cross Your T’s. You would be amazed how many websites haven’t gone through a basic SEO checklist. Little foundational things like slow page load speed, lack of mobile compatibility, or broken links can sink your search engine ranking. The good news? It can do the same for your competitors! By simply checking the necessary boxes, you give yourself a shot at winning on the web.
  • Use Content Marketing. Your website isn’t going to magically start moving up Google; you need to give the search engines a reason to notice your site, and content marketing is the perfect reason. Regularly updating your blog and posting on social media shows that you’re actively providing useful content on the web. Search engines love that, and their crawlers will take note.
  • Choose Your Keywords Wisely. Let’s be honest. Your small business probably isn’t going to win the top page of search engines for “auto insurance.” But it very likely could win “auto insurance in [Your City], [Your State].” Before you start trying to optimize your page willy-nilly, do some keyword research. Google AdWords can help you find out what kind of competition is out there (and we can help!) so you can choose winnable keywords.

If you’re a small business owner who wants to optimize your search engine ranking, contact Stratosphere Marketing Solutions in Westlake Village, California. SEO for small business owners is our sweet spot and we can help you beat out the local competition and get found online! Call us for all of your digital marketing needs.
